How to Change the IMEI of Your MTK Android Device

 Today i want to share a tutorial on how to change the imei of your android device.

 You may want to change ur imei for reasons best known to you but before i go any further, i want to bring certain things to your notice.

Please Note That:

1. Changing your device imei is illegal in some country and could get you into trouble.

2. I will not be held responsible if any thing goes wrong while trying to change The imei of your device.

 

 Search on Google Play Store  for MTK engineering mode, download and install
Open Engineering mode app

Click on Mtk settings

Swipe to the left once
Click on CDS information

You'll see Radio information.
Click on it.

Phone 1 represents your Sim 1

After clicking phone 1, you'll see something like this;
 AT+

 
With a tab for Send At Command under and your imei no under.
Copy down your IMEI no in a safe place. and take a screen shot of that page if possible.

Click on it and type E.

Something like this will pop up

AT+EGMR=1,7""

Now  Select the first one which has 7 at the end.

Then click inside the box in between this symbol ""

That's where you will input your new IMEI.
E.g
AT+EGMR=1,7"New IMEI"

E.g
AT+EGMR=1,7"358265011823413"

Lastly, just click "Send" command .You will get an acknowledgement that "AT Command is MSent"

 Reboot your phone.

Dial *#06# And you'll see that your IMEI No has been changed.

As you all know, Tecno took over the Nigerian market by storm by being able to produce medium end Smart phones for relatively cheap prices as most Nigerians couldn't afford the the Expensive brands like Samsung, HTC and the likes of them.

They have had quite a number of contenders like the Gionee, which we all thought would dominate the market in 2014.
But just when we thought it couldn't get any better, then came the infinix mobile who have been in the phone business for a while but decided to shock Nigerians several times this year by releasing medium and high end smart phones which were quite cheaper as compared to the Tecno Equivalent with the same specifications.
One of their most popular releases is the Infinix Zero Smart phone released earlier this year.

How To Root Your Infinix Hot Android Phone

As You all know, the Infinix X507 also known as infinix HOT Smart phone was released into the market in November 2014,.

There has been alot of testimonies from people who have bought it, one of such testimonies is on the battery. Seems the battery is an improvement on the previously released Infinix zero. 

Today i want to talk about how to root this lovely device. One of the easiest ways is by using Vroot.

Have You ever had the sudden need to scan a document but you were too far away from a Cyber Cafe, Business Center or a place you could easily get such services?

How To Root Any Android Device Using VROOT

This is a post i belive many people will enjoy, though i wished i could take credit for it.
  I  came across it on Phone Gist blog and thought it nice to share with all my readers as well.  Enjoy!!!

In a not-so-long time ago, rooting an android device was quite a very messy and tedious process. However, in recent times, rooting an Android device especially one running 4.0+ has been a piece of cake for majority of the android devices.

VROOT seek to make it even easier to root your Android phone running Android 4.0 - 4.3 so that you can have SuperUser access to it. The guide below will help you in achieving a rooted status on your android device using VROOT in no time.

Requirements

1. A Windows Computer

2. VROOT software: Download here 

3. Android device connected to your computer

Procedures

1. Download the VROOT software on your computer from the link provided above

2. Install and Run app after installation. Its in Chinese but don't worry.

3. On first run, you will greeted with the page as shown below. Click on the dialogue box indicated with the red square in the image.

4. Now connect your Android device to the computer and in few seconds you will notice a spinning circle on the USB cord image on the left (highlighted with a red box in image below).

5. Once your device is detected, you will see device name boldly displayed. In the case of the image below, device name is Infinix X1000. 

 

6. Click on the ROOT button just as highlighted in the image above. In a few seconds your device would be rooted and a reboot would be effected during the process.

After the root process is completed, SuperUser would be displayed on  your list of apps and you would notice that SuperUser is in English and not in Chinese.

How to Check if your Android Device is Rooted or Not

You can now easily check your device root status without much hassles. If you have rooted your device before, you could loose root privileges if you did an OTA update, or had to reset your device, or for a multiple number of reasons.
 how ever there is a simple software that can be used to check if your android device is rooted or not.

its called  Root Checker by Joeykrim. Its available for download from google play store for free.

once you download the app, open it and just click on the "Verify Root Access Button". If Your device is rooted, you should get a message similar to the one below.

How to Create Stock Rom of MediaTek Android Phones

 One problem alot of people face when using android devices is the issues of Phone bricking while trying to install one app or the other or while trying to experiment with their devices. if your phone gets bricked, you would need to have the stock Rom for that particular device to be able to bring it back to life.

In todays post i'm going to share an article curled from PhoneGist Blog that talks about how to create and backup the stock Rom of your android mediatek device.  Enjoy.

Have you ever bricked  your MediaTek android phone before and just need to get your hands on a stock ROM for your device type? If yes, then this guide will teach you on how to create a stock ROM for your device if you have a friend that has the same device as yours.

I have done a stock ROM backup for a brand new Tecno S3 smartphone: the download link will be provided at the bottom of this post.

Requirements

1. Download MTK Droid Root & Tools v2.5.1 here

2. Windows PC

3. Rooted MediaTek device. (you can root with eroot if the device has android 4.0 and above)

Procedures

1. First thing is to root your MediaTek Android device

2. Second step would be to download and install the MTK Droid tools

3. Now connect your rooted phone to the computer and let it be detected by the MTK tools

4. Note the colour at the bottom of  the droid tool. It has to be green. if its not, click on Root located at the bottom right of the MTK page.

5. It will prompt you, OK it and let it gain su access.

6. Click on root, backup and recovery tab and click on the big Backup button

7. Wait for it to begin the backup process which can take up to 10 - 15 minutes depending on your computer speed.

8. After backup is created, it will ask  you if you want to pack it to a zipped format. Click yes

9. Wait a while for the packing to finish

10. When its finish, you can navigate to the folder where the backup is stored for use at anytime you please.

  

How To Root Your Tecno p9 Phantom Pad Mini

If you've been looking for a way to root you Tecno P9 Tab but had no clue on how to go about it, well look no further bcos help is here. 
The tecno p9 is one of the easiest tabs to root, in fact its as easy as ABC..*winks*   

Requirements/Proceedure

To root your tab you need to download framaroot 1.61. "you can download it from here"  and install it on you tab.
 launch the the application and then  under the "Select an action execute after root"  option, select "Install SuperSU"
then just below it click on Boromir. 

Thats all. Reboot your device, download root checker from google playstore and hopefully its going to tell you that your device has been successfully rooted.
